For one annual fee, a member gets a TMS membership card and a Mahler pin. Membership entitles one to free attendance at TMS meetings as well as first choice to attend number-restricted events such as an orchestral rehearsal or a video showing in a small venue, as limited by the host.
The current Annual Fee is $35 and membership lasts for one year from the date of initializing or renewing your membership by payment of the current fee. Membership is non-transferable.
Non-Member Fees
The first ever TMS meeting one attends is free and thereafter the price to attend is approximately $10 to cover room & refreshment costs.
Students, with valid Student ID cards, may attend for free.
Meetings & Activities
All meetings or activities are announced via e-mail & sent to those who have registered with us.
At least 4 meetings are held every year.
Meetings normally occur on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon in a Library or some other location, accessible via public transportation. They typically last for up to 3 hours, with a refreshment break where we provide coffee and cookies. The presentations range from videos to listening comparisons to lectures, normally on Mahler topics.
Our annual Mahler birthday dinner in July typically takes place on a Friday or Saturday evening.
We also have interviewed a conductor and an author and attempt to present these types of events from time to time.
